#PMSpeaksToArnab sets new Twitter record; garners 250,000 total Tweets

The 85-minute-long TV interview with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Times Now channel has set a new record for conversations taking place on Twitter during a live news TV interview. Total conversations during the live interview peaked at 250,000 total Tweets, of which 170,000 conversations were recorded in a short span of six hours. The conversation volume was 180 per cent higher than #RahulSpeaksToArnab and #ModiSpeaksToArnab.

Twitter users from India and around the world watched the detailed interview live and jumped into the conversation using the official hashtag, #PMSpeaksToArnab; Twitter became the second screen to television and showcased the electric synergy of live TV x Twitter.

Twitter lit up as a whole nation came together over Tweets surrounding pressing political, economic and social issues that impact every citizen, and the platform became the focal point for live commentary and live conversations. Users followed the interview on-the-go as Times Now Tweeted live-edited video highlights of the TV interview as it unfolded.
