A Story that shook the World - Watch Oscar Winning Movie ‘Spotlight’ only on Sony Le PLEX HD

To break a story, break your silence. ‘Spotlight’- a team of investigative journalists from Boston Globe newspaper set out to reveal a story that became one of the biggest journalistic masterpieces. Sony Le PLEX HD Premieres the Academy Award winning film ‘Spotlight’ on Sunday, 23^rd October 2016 at 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM – a true story of child abuse that shattered the faith of millions. 

Directed by Tom McCarthy, the film is based on a series stories published by the ‘Spotlight’ team that earned ‘The Globe’ the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. Noted as a gutsy attempt at story-telling, this critically acclaimed film received six nominations at the 88th Academy Awards (Oscars 2016), winning Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay awards.

Revered actor Mark Ruffalo plays the character of Michael Rezendes – a senior Journalist with the Boston Globe’s investigative team ‘Spotlight’. Michael is the winner of the most prestigious awards in journalism, the Pulitzer, for his investigative stories. He was also on stage to receive the Oscar for the film along with the entire cast and crew.
