Ad Guru' Prahlad Kakar Addresses PR Fraternity at the 2nd Edition of 'The Commune'

The 2nd edition of ‘The Commune’ had India’s most acclaimed ad filmmaker and ‘Ad Guru’ Prahlad Kakar, address the PR fraternity in a free flowing conversation with Deepak Kapoor, Founder of ‘The Commune’. This session was organized on June 02nd, 2016 at Tonic, a prominent lounge located in Central Mumbai.

‘The Commune’ is Mumbai’s first of its kind community dedicated to PR & Corporate Communications professionals, facilitating monthly gatherings in a social setup. This initiative gives a platform to the fraternity to socialize, network and engage with influencers from various fields, on a regular basis in a prominent city club or lounge.

During his session, Prahlad spoke about his journey of over 38 years right from his early days at J Walter Thomson onto becoming an Ad guru, Branding Strategist, Chief Mentor, and Board Member of many companies.  Known for instant innovation, he shared real life experiences and emphasized PR professionals to think on their feet to achieve success.

Prahlad also talked about his recently launched PKSBE (Prahlad Kakar School of Branding and Entrepreneurship). His focus was on the school’s unusual curriculum been designed uniquely to overcome fear and free the young minds to develop creative strategies and perform to their optimum, embracing risk as an integral part of doing business.

The 2nd edition of ‘The Commune’ was attended by communications professionals from Adfactors, Edelman India, MSL Group India, Perfect Relations, WE Communications (formerly Waggener Edstrom) and WAT Consult (Part of Dentsu Aegis Network India) among others. Prahlad also moderated a uniquely conceptualized engagement activity called ‘Musical Glasses’ in which PR professionals participated with full enthusiasm.
