Facebook announces 4 million active advertisers

Facebook has announced that today, more than 4 million businesses all over the world actively advertise on the platform, with more than 70 per cent outside of the US.

The fastest growing region is South East Asia, while Vietnam, Indonesia, Greece, Ukraine, and the Philippines are the fastest growing countries in terms of percentage growth over last year.

The top five countries based on year-on-year growth are the US, Brazil, Vietnam, Mexico, and the UK.

Over 85 per cent of the active business Pages use mobile, while 40 per cent of the active advertisers have created a Facebook ad on mobile.

More than 20 per cent of active advertisers created video ads in the last month, with more than 4 million new video ads being created.

Facebook also informed that more than 30 per cent of active SMB pages on the platform are women-owned.

Boosted posts and promoted pages are two of the most used tools that have helped convert businesses to advertise.
