GroupM Canada rebrands Outrider as Catalyst Canada

Outrider Canada, the search marketing arm of GroupM Canada, announced today that effective immediately the company will be rebranded as Catalyst Canada and combine services and product development with Boston-based Catalyst.

GroupM Chief Global Digital Officer Rob Norman said Outrider Canada’s name change is part of an ongoing effort to unify GroupM’s search marketing services in North America to create a single cohesive offer in the region and to combine the expertise of two already successful units.

Norman added that the company will continue to provide independent organic and paid search services to all existing clients while also supporting the search activities of GroupM media agencies Maxus, MEC, MediaCom and Mindshare.

Catalyst CEO Beth LeTendre said: “The decision to rebrand in the Canadian market is a result of our ongoing commitment to investing in client services.  We’re excited to be able to provide our clients with a unified brand that they can look to for service across the region. We believe this change has the ability to open up new opportunities for clients both within Canada and abroad, and are delighted to have Outrider Canada CEO Jeff Lancaster join our executive team as CEO of Catalyst Canada.”
