Häagen-Dazs hires Bradley Cooper as brand ambassador!

Luxury ice cream brand, Häagen-Dazs, has announced the launch of a new global campaign across all of its key territories.  The advertising campaign, its largest global campaign ever, captures the sexy, yet sophisticated essence of Häagen-Dazs.  The campaign establishes the ‘House of Häagen-Dazs’ and conveys its philosophy of iconic luxury and superior craftsmanship, much in the way a fashion house would do.

The new multi-channel campaign features superstar and Academy-Award nominated actor Bradley Cooper, and includes integrated advertising across TV, press, outdoor, online and throughout the 900 Häagen-Dazs Cafés worldwide.  The campaign has been launched in India through Print, Digital (Youtube), Cinema and across 8 Häagen-Dazs lounges.

“Bradley Cooper is the first celebrity to appear in a Häagen-Dazs campaign and is a perfect match for the brand, epitomizing class and style” says Arindam Haldar, Director Premium Foods, “The new House of Häagen-Dazs campaign will reassert the pioneering, quality credentials of the brand and highlight our pure captivation and craftsmanship.”

The television commercial was shot at the Zámek Ploskovice estate in Prague, directed by Hollywood Director Allen Hughes.  The commercial sees the doors to The House of Häagen-Dazs open to reveal an opulent Baroque ballroom filled with couture-clad party goers.  Bradley Cooper locks eyes with a glamorous guest, portrayed by model Jana Perez, who beckons him to a private room.  Things look to be heating up between the pair when Perez pushes Cooper into a chair and leans in seductively, their faces nearly touching.  Instead of planting a kiss, Perez instead takes the Häagen-Dazs from his hands, walks out the door and locks it behind her, proceeding to tease him by enjoying the luxurious ice cream herself.

Belgian songstress Selah Sue is the seductive voice behind the commercial, performing ‘Spoonful of Diamonds’.  Known as ‘part Adele and part Erykah Badu’, Sue began playing acoustic guitar and composing her own songs at the age of 15, and, now in her early 20’s she has refined her signature blend of soul, hip-hop, funk, and reggae into a powerful force.  The track and accompanying behind the scenes video sees her bringing her unique style to a much-loved classic, popularized by Etta James.
