FX, India’s edgy English entertainment channel is known for providing its viewers with the most thrilling and award-winning television shows across genres. Back with yet another topnotch, adrenaline pumping series ‘Alias’, FX is all set to up its entertainment ante this summer!

An American spy-action television series, Alias is created by renowned show and film-maker J. J. Abrams best known for his ground-breaking work in Star Wars, Star Trek and one of the longest lasting TV franchises ‘Lost’.He further gained recognition for his movies Mission Impossible III, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Armageddon and the highly acclaimed TV series ‘Felicity’. While all of his work was rewarded with prestigious awards such as the Golden Globes and Emmys, Alias, starring movie stars Jennifer Garner and Bradley Cooper came first, won hearts, swept away momentous awards and was unlike anything ever seen before on television.

The series follows the life of a double-agent Sydney Bristow (played by Jennifer Garner) who works for the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) while posing as an operative for SD-6, a worldwide criminal and espionage organization. The theme of the shows explores Sydney's obligation to conceal her true career from her friends and family, even as she assumes multiple aliases to carry out her missions. Bradley Cooper plays Garner’s best friend, Will Tippin in the series who works as a reporter for a local newspaper. After the death of Sydney's fiancé, Will begins to investigate and eventually learns of the existence of SD-6. The discovery threatens his life but he later is recruited as an analyst for the CIA.

Despite having significant amount of work on their resumes already, the nerve-wracking spy drama ‘Alias’elevatedboth, Jennifer Garner and J.J. Abrams to unimaginable heights of stardom. Not only did the series win immense praise and critical acclaim but Jennifer Garner too bagged numerous awards including the Golden Globe for her performance on the show.

When Garner was asked if she would want to do Alias for another season the actress said “I think J.J. Abrams has got his hands full. I don’t see him turning around and rebooting Alias anytime soon. If he was involved, I’m sure the rest of us would sign right up. We had a blast making that show and we’re all still superclose, so I’m sure you would find an eager group of participants right there.”

Alias explored the possibility of this new world, and then it also explored what was possible and what was tolerated in serialized television mythology. While Alias didn’t invent the genre, it pushed Spy action Drama to new heights, going further than perhaps anything before it.

So join in on the many adventures that agent Sydney Bristow and Will Tippin will embark upon and get ready for an unforgettable action-packed ride!
