Media Moments Partners with Chinese Networking Giant PHICOMM

Media Moments Insights Pvt Ltd, a New Age Digital Company, recently partnered with China’s telecom giant PHICOMM to launch their flagship smartphone Passion 660 in a grand event powered by emerging technology. PHICOMM, is one of China’s leading providers of telecommunication equipment, terminals, and services.


As part of the road map, Media Moments initiated pre-launch buzz through strategic use of online and offline media creating awareness for the product and the brand. The launch press conference was held at Taj Palace Hotel(Delhi) on 3rd June 2015, which was attended by media, bloggers & influencers from across the country.

The theme was based on one of the unique features of their phone – Gesture Control. At the press conference, Media Moments used an emerging technology for the first time in India that has not yet found a practical niche.To emphasize the product USPs,Leap Motion(a device that recognizes hand gestures in 3D space) was deployed to capture the essence of the product and PHICOMM’s futuristic approach at the launch press conference.The phone was recreated in 3D and controlled through Leap Motion to showcase to the media about the inner workings, along with a presentation – which was also controlled through gestures on two giant screens simultaneously.

#HamaraPassion was used as the launch campaign hashtag to aggregate and build a community. The effort resulted in 38 Million Twitter impressions which involved 800+ contributors where each of the contributors, on an average had 2500+ followers. On Instagram, a 60K+ reach resulted in 55K+ impressions. The terms ‘PHICOMM India’ & ‘Passion 660’ trended, organically, on Twitter on the launch day of the handset.
