MySpace is working on a restructuring and redesigning plan to enhance the look and feel of the social-networking site. MySpace will adopt a strategy that will help reduce the underlining stress on user-generated content (UGC) that will in turn help in cleaning up the free-for-all look of the site to a great extent.

MySpace currently has vague content at places and there is a need to eliminate the “a mile wide and an inch deep” frame of it. As a product too MySpace hasn’t been doing great hence the need of a restructuring. There are also plans of dropping channels like classifieds and jobs from the site and introducing Ajax elements to gain an enriched user experience.

The content for the site will be specifically produced professional content. There will be a conscious effort towards bettering the editorial aspect of the site while still maintaining its social networking aspect. MySpace aims to become a content sharing and distributing platform in times to come and not just exist as a social-networking site.
