Break Ramadan fast with Nimbooz
During this year’s Independence Day celebrations, the marketing minds at PepsiCo came up with an innovative idea to promote their brand, Nimbooz. The company distributed more than two lakh Nimbooz branded kites to the underprivileged children in Delhi.
During Ramadan, members of the Islamic community avoid eating or drinking from dawn to dusk and break their fast at a specific time. PepsiCo saw an opportunity in the month-long religious adherence to promote Nimbooz and came up with a brilliant concept. That concept has now taken form of a billboard. Placed strategically in the Jama Masjid area in Old Delhi, the billboards say ‘Jab ghadi Iftar ka waqt dikhaye, ekdum refreshing Nimbooz ho jaye!’
The campaign – conceptualised by BBDO India and executed by Platinum Outdoor – will continue till September 21, the day of festival of Eid.

Good post, I can’t say that I agree with everything that was said, but very good information overall:)
