According to the predictions of Magna, GroupM and Zenith as part of a global survey, enhanced online spending will see the demise of newspapers by 2015.

Online ad spending together with TV will enhance over the years while other advertising revenue declines or stays at current levels.

By 2012, the internet is forecasted to generate 16.2% of advertising revenue compared to the current high of TV and newspaper spending.

By 2015, online spending will displace newspapers and will be successful due to rapid returns and clear transactions.

Paid search increased 15% in 2009 while display, only 6%.

Southeast Asia and South American countries are to lead this trend whilst the US lags behind in internet ad spending.
