Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have created the history by ringing the NASDAQ bell. NASDAQ is the world’s biggest stock exchange.

Before ringing the bell SRK had written on his Twitter page that, “NASDAQ will be fun. Have to make sure I reach on time, otherwise will end up being blamed for economic up heavel across the world too..ha ha.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have become the first Indian stars to ring the NASDAQ bell, as only people from corporate world are invited to ring the bell. SRK and Kajol have rung the bell on behalf of Fox Searchlight Pictures which is distributing the film in the US market.

The Karan Johar directed film, which releases on February 12, will see the most sought after onscreen pair in Bollywood re-unite after eight years. Shot across much of the United States, My Name Is Khan will also have a star-studded premiere at the 60th annual Berlin International Film Festival during the week of its release.

With over 3,700 companies listed, the NASDAQ has more trading volume than any other stock market in the world.
