Times Now wins hands down for Budget day coverage

Times Now has reaffirmed its supremacy over the English News category with record viewership on Budget Day. The channel remains unparalleled by achieving the viewership rating that is bigger than its competitors NDTV 24×7 and CNN-IBN combined!

According to the all day viewership data released by AMAP for CS 15+ in All 1 Mn+ markets, for Budget day, TIMES NOW garnered 4.12 GRPs as compared to 2.55 GRPs of NDTV 24X7 and 1.22 GRPs of CNN IBN. TIMES NOW also beat competition with a 30% lead over its closest competitor NDTV 24X7 in the CS15+ All India Audience group.

In the critical 11am to 1pm band, during the FM’s Budget speech, TIMES NOW again garnered a 30% lead over its closest competitor NDTV 24X7, CS 15+, 1Mn+.

The power packed programming included extensive discussions and relevant analysis by the most powerful heavyweights from the Industry, Government and Market Experts complete with a line-up of special debates and chat shows. All this delivered by Editor-in-Chief, Arnab Goswami, Economic and Policy expert and renowned columnist Swaminathan Aiyer, economist and columnist Omkar Goswami, and Editor-Politics and Economy TIMES NOW, Navika Kumar.

In 2009 also the channel remained the No.1 English news channel winning most of the weeks of the year according to TAM and AMAP data.
