Radio City Super Singer Season 8 sets a record participation of 4.5 lakhs nationally

Radio City Super Singer, Season 8, India’s biggest singing talent hunt reached its crescendo with a grand finale culminated in Delhi on 17^th September 2016. Radio City Super Singer a marquee property in its 8^th year witnessed an overwhelming response across all 28 cities. Picking the best talent from each city, judged by a panel of eminent jury from the music industry took the competition to next level.

The 8^th Season of Radio City Super Singer presented by LuvIt Chocolates, saw 5 weeks of intense competition across the nation. The magical duo Sajid – Wajid crowned the ultimate winner from Delhi amongst the top 5 finalist, competing for the title and the cash prize of 1lakh and a lot more.

Aspiring singers registered through digital platform – PlanetRadiocity.com, SMS, Calls, Mall auditions, on the go auditions and by walking in to the Radio City Studio, in all 28 cities. After the cut throat competition between the talented singers, the top 5 contenders were given an opportunity to showcase their singing talent on air in each of the city and win votes from the listeners.

On the finale event held at Pacific Mall, Delhi the audience and the judges grooved to the tunes of the 5 finalist of Radio City Super Singer 8, Madhur Dheer, Nandini Sharma, Abdul Samad Khan, Nitin Shukla and Tripti Garg finally crowning Nandini Sharma the ultimate winner.

Keeping in mind the national brand campaign, Rag Rag Mein Daude City, the theme for this year’s competition was Jinki Rag Rag Mein Hai Singing that brought to forefront some astounding talent. Radio City Super Singer is definitely a great initiative that proves Radio City 91.1 FM looks to engage and forge a never ending connect with its listeners!
