Radio Mirchi Q2 FY17 total revenue up 11.5% at Rs 129.6 cr

Entertainment Network (India) Ltd, the operator of FM radio channel Radio Mirchi, has posted a growth of 11.5 per cent in its total income at Rs 129.6 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016, compared to Rs 116.3 crore in Q2 FY2016.

The company reported operating EBITDA of Rs 23.1 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of Rs.7.9 crore for Q2 FY2017.

Commenting on the results, Prashant Panday, Managing Director and Chief Executive Offer, ENIL, said, “It’s been a busy quarter for us! We are in the midst of many exciting launches; of core brand Mirchi in cities like Chandigarh, Guwahati and Kochi and our second brand, Mirchi Love, in Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur and Lucknow. We are offering new innovative content and recruiting existing and new listeners. We have stepped up marketing spends and early research indicates that we have made a strong start and in fact have become leaders in key markets. I am confident this will translate into a stronger business in the years ahead!”
