Raghavendra Rao Joins Metigon as Public Affairs Director

Boutique communications firm Metigon Enterprises announced today that it has hired the Public Affairs specialist Raghavendra Rao as Public Affairs Director. The induction of Raghavendra Rao is aimed at strengthening Metigon’s presence in southern Indian markets. He will spearhead strengthening of Metigon’s public affairs business in the south.

Raghu – as is popularly called – comes with more than 28 years’ of experience in marketing and communications areas including strategic market planning, new market penetration, brand management & promotion, and market research & analysis. A change agent, Raghu has achieved significant milestones through his eventful career in the course of working with global clients.

Raghu’s last assignment was at JSW Steel, where he headed the Corporate Communications and PR function for close to three years. In his role, Raghu provided consulting support in multiple areas of Corporate Communications including managing external relationships (Award Agencies, Quality and Processes Authenticating Boards). He had been instrumental in ensuring multi-lingual capabilities and enable strategic presentations for JSW Steel Vijaynagar. Raghu leveraged his PR and Public Affairs skills and ability in working with various government functionaries Commerce & Industries, Mines and Geology, Forest, Power ministries and Pollution Control Boards.
