Snapdeal.com proudly announces the launch of “The Designer Studio” in association with Fashion Design Council Of India (FDCI) - a mega endeavour by India’s largest online marketplace to broaden its product assortment in the fashion category which is growing at 30% MoM.

The Designer Studio, one of Snapdeal's most ambitious Fashion launches till date, marks the beginning of a partnership with the apex body of Indian fashion, Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), and will bring the best of fashion, from some of the biggest names in the industry. Having established its leadership in value-for-money Fashion, Snapdeal now aims to offer premium designer wear to its consumers through the aforementioned exclusive luxury store. The Designer Studio will not only include ready-to-wear and made-to-order clothing collections but will also build consumer engagement by presenting the complete achievement timeline of each participating designer.

FDCI, which came to existence in 1998 and has been playing a crucial role in bringing together the best designers from all corners of the country together under one cohesive industry body. Under this partnership, extraordinary designers Manish Arora, Malini Ramani, Ashish N Soni, Varun Bahl and Samant Chauhan will showcase an array of creations from their labels on ‘the Designer Studio’. Many more top designers are expected to be on board in the next 3 months as a result of this unique collaboration.

In clothing, the range for women will include dresses, tops, tunics, kaftans, sarees and bridal wear exclusively created by Malini Ramani and Manish Arora. A made-to-measure service for bridal wear by Manish Arora will soon be added on ‘The Designer Studio’. For men, Ashish Soni and Samant Chauhan will launch a dashing collection of crisp shirts with pin tuck and other intricate handcrafted detailing, along with striking printed waist-coats. The prêt collections of these top designers will be available on the website at prices ranging between Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 35,000. The vivid bridal collections will be priced starting at Rs. 2,00,000.

With the aim of becoming the fashion destination for all Indians, after successfully taking lead in indigenously manufactured fashion and domestic retailers, the company is now expanding its assortment to include premium designer wear. This is in line with the company’s strategy to cross a business of Rs.6000 crore from the fashion category by the next financial year, as announced earlier this year.
