Vishal Chemjong joins Rediffusion – Y & R, Delhi

Vishal started his career about 11 years ago at McCann Erickson where he worked on Bacardi, Perfetti and several Reckitt Benckiser brands such as Dettol, Colin and Mortein. He moved on to Bates as a senior copywriter in 2003 where he launched the Indiatimes mail and mobile services and Catch Clear. He joined Mudra in 2004 to work on HBO, Electrolux, Unitech and Dabur. His joined Leo Burnett thereafter to manage the creative work for McDonald’s, Thums Up and Coca-Cola among others. He joined Publics India in 2008 as Creative Director to handle the creative duties for Nestle’s Maggi noodles, Iffco-Tokio, HP, Dr. Morepen and Teacher’s. His last stint before joining Rediffusion-Y&R was at GIIR communications where he was handling the LG portfolio.

Vishal has a number of National and International awards to his credit and his work has been showcased in several Award Annuals.

Rediffusion and Edelman announce strategic partnership; Tata Group to be serviced by Rediffusion / Edelman unit

Rediffusion-Y&R and Edelman India today announced a strategic alliance to share clients across the public relations and public affairs portfolio and raise the bar in providing integrated communications offerings to clients in India.

The alliance brings together Rediffusion, one of the largest and most renowned Indian advertising agencies which came into existence in 1973, and Edelman India, part of Daniel J. Edelman Inc., the world’s largest independent public relations firm founded in Chicago over half a century ago.

The alliance will involve the formation of a separate business unit within Edelman to operate as Rediffusion / Edelman.

Saatchi & Saatchi, Delhi is all set to bounce back with a bang with the inclusion of Jaibeer Ahmed in the team. Coming with a rich advertising experience, Jaibeer will be joining as Vice President.

During his decade long journey in advertising, Jaibeer has worked with some of the top advertising firms like Ogilvy & Mather, Lowe, FCB and Rediffusion. Starting his career with RK Swamy BBDO, he got his first exposure to advertising with brands like Dabur and Educare. Since then, he has worked on some of the most exciting brands including Airtel, Nestle, SABMiller, Allout, Whirlpool and LG. During his stint at Rediffussion, he handled Airtel before being made Business Head on LG.

In 2010, Jaibeer got to experience marketing from the client’s standpoint. Having joined Samsung Electronics, he looked after the marketing communication for their air-conditioner business. This gave him a unique perspective on the total communication business.

New TVC for Airtel Delhi Half Marathon

Airtel Delhi Half Marathon is going to have a new television commercial that is being created by Rediffusion Y&R. The target audience is the population – across the age band from children to elderly – living in the country’s capital city.

Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan has also been roped in for the advert. Khan opens the ad by introducing the campaign as he talks about the pleasure of running and shares experience of his growing-up years in Delhi. Incidentally, Shahrukh Khan has an extended association with the campaign apart from his part in commercial as a member to come on screen.

Shahrukh Khan-promoted Red Chillies is the production house behind the advertisement while Vishal Punjabi is the director.

The campaign also intends to promote the event through other media platforms like print and outdoor. The marathon’s media responsibilities rest with Madison.
