TV This Week | Colors back on track, grabs second position

The TV industry is back with their ratings for Week 8 as per TAM data sourced from subscribers. Here's a look at the HIndi GEC's performance in Week 8 of the year.

Star Plus continues to be at the number one position with 636 million GVTs an increase as compared to last week's 623 million GVTs. Star Valentine Day (Sun, 9pm): The two and half hour long Valentines’ Day special event had a viewership of 2.9 million and a gross viewership of 14.5 million

Colors is back on track grabbing the second position with 444 million GVTs, an increase of 10 million GVTs from last week. World Television Premier of Hff Ungli (Sun, 6:30pm): The two and half long premier of the movie had a viewership of 1.2 million and garners a gross v’ship of 6.1 million.

Zee TV is at number three with 418 million GVTs, a decline from 448 million GVTs last week. Locha-e-Ulfat (Sun, 5pm): The three hours long Valentines’ Day special event delivered a viewership of 2.1 million and a gross viewership of 12.4 million.

Life OK is at number four with 316 million GVTs a decline from 330 million GVTs.

On the fifth spot is SAB with 286 million GVTs, a rise from 285 million GVTs last week.

Sony Entertainment Television remains at the sixth position with 254 million GVTs, up by 1 million GVTs. Aahat (Wed-Thu, 11pm): The show launched this week had a viewership of 2.9 million in its launch episode and average 2.8 million for the week.

In the premium Hindi GECs we have Sony Pal with 39 million GVTs, an increase from 25 million GVTs last week followed by Zindagi with 22 million GVTs as compared to last week's 17 million GVTs.
