TV This Week | GEC witness no chnage, Movie channels shuffle

According to the TAM ratings charts for week 41, though the positional hierarchy remains the same in the Hindi GEC space, the movie channel space has witnessed some ups and downs this week. As per viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for week 41, 2014 (28th September 2014 to 4th October 2014) for HSM markets, detailed below is the data of the top 6 GEC's performance in week 40​ along with previous week's figures: Star Plus maintains its first position and gains big this week with 598 GVMs (549 last week). Colors holds its 2nd position with 432 GVMs; while ZEE TV​ still sits at no.3 at 413 GVTs. Continuing to be at the 4th spot, Life OK recorded 292 GVMs with a loss of 7 GVMs from last week (last week 299 GVTs). SAB TV at no. 5 gained 19 GVMs and registered 273 GVMs this week (last week 254 GVT). Sony Entertainment Television is at no.6 position, followed by new GEC's Sony Pal and Zindagi at no. 7 and no.8 respectively. Satyamev Jayate and the live show 'Mumkin Hai' received an aggregated reach of 129.6 million with the simulcast of Satyamev Jayate on 8 channels, and the simulcast of Mumkin Hai on Star Plus and ABP News. The lead channel Star Plus accounted for 72 % of the overall viewership. This season of Satyamev Jayate has already crossed 2.5 billion potential impressions on digital. Another highlight of the show's massive popularity on digital was seen immediately after the airing of the first episode as the Satyamev Jayate Twitter handle became the second fastest growing Twitter profile in the world. Amongst the Hindi movie channels, Zee Cinema tops the chart with 186844 GVTs. Star Gold slips down to 2nd position with 266448 GVTs (last week 118550). Sony Max takes the 3rd position with 185696 GVTs. The 4th slot is taken by &Pictures with 74886 and Movies OK takes 5thposition with 132447.
