Whistling Woods International and Twitter India launches a student-led Twitter video series

Whistling Woods International (WWI) and Twitter India joined hands to launch a unique Twitter video series titled #DoWhatYouLove where students from the institute will have an opportunity to create video stories of 140 seconds, which will be tweeted every Tuesday.

Whistling Woods International became the first film and media education institute to create a concept like this on Twitter, which is a weekly opportunity for students to have their work shared around the world on an interest based public platform. Students from all schools of Whistling Woods International, namely School of Filmmaking, School of Animation, Actors’ Studio, School of Media and Communication, Whistling Woods School of Fashion, School of Music, among others, will contribute and participate in this initiative.

The partnership was launched with this Whistling Woods Tweet yesterday and the first video of the #DoWhatYouLove series: https://twitter.com/Whistling_Woods/status/778208693124861952

WWI students have the opportunity to interpret the #DoWhatYouLove theme based on their interests. Hence we are excited to see an eclectic range of videos throughout the academic year.

Commenting on the association, Meghna Ghai Puri, President, Whistling Woods International, said, “We’re excited to partner with Twitter India. As an institute, we are proud to be the first film and media education institute to launch a 140 second video series on Twitter that will be crafted solely by our students. This association will enable them to take their stories even farther and set the standard for being a truly innovative, digital campus”.

Aneesh Madani, Head of Sports and Education Partnerships, Twitter India, said, “From 140 characters of text to 140 seconds of video, students have multiple ways to publically express themselves on Twitter. As part of our digital campus programme, we are thrilled that a progressive film and media education institute like Whistling Woods International is using the Twitter Video series to give their students a platform to showcase their talent. We look forward to these student crafted stories in 140 seconds of video through the rest of the academic year.”
