15 years down the line Prudent is the biggest media brand in Goa

Prudent Media was the last to arrive on the scene; now we are the first to arrive at the spot. We break news, set agenda and keep the entire state updated.

Prudent Media was launched in 2006 as a TV channel. It was the last channel to be launched then and had the immense challenge of creating a distinct identity amongst the competitive crowd.

15 years down the line Prudent is the biggest media brand in Goa with largest presence in TV and digital space commanding more than a million eyeballs every day in a small state like Goa.

The journey from a smallest channel to Goa’s mightiest media brand is quite fascinating. We constantly innovated, continuously ideated and most importantly judged the pulse and hunger of the viewers appropriately.

Although we began our TV journey later than others, we embarked on the digital path much ahead of the others. Today Prudent has commanding position on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Youtube.

Our website www.prudentmedia.in is the portal with highest traffic in the state of Goa. Our app, available both on app store and play store has maximum number of downloads and our YouTube channel is miles ahead of our closest competitor. Instagram handle of the channel is fastest growing digital vertical.

Facebook page and Twitter handle of the brand are most widely followed and the subscribers and followers are constantly increasing.

Prudent since its inception has lived by a very simple motto: it is better to be late by a minute than wrong by a mile. We break the stories first but we insist on being right every time we break news. Although the competition is fierce with the widespread advent of social media, we still prefer to be accurate than ‘before anybody else’. The credibility this brand enjoys is primarily due to this reason.

Prudent has state of the art infrastructure. Spacious and completely modern studio, latest on field equipment’s and savvy production control room. This sheer investment in latest technology has kept Prudent much ahead of others.

The media brand has molded itself into an infotainment platform as Prudent along with news and happenings produces in-depth current affairs programmes on Goa’s socio-cultural diversity.

The team is headed by Mr Joe Louis, Director “Media and guiding force behind this team. Senior journalist Pramod Acharya heads the editorial team whereas industry insider Lakshraj Shetye heads the marketing and sales division of the channel.

News division of Prudent is headed by Suyash Gaunekar whereas Programmes division is led by Rohit Vadkar, both having more than two decade experience in the field. On field team is led by senior journalist Loukik Shilkar with more than a decade of experience in reporting and coverage”.

Viewership of Prudent ranges across all age groups, gender and economic classes. Geographically it is single information source to the Goan diaspora spread across the world. The channel has tremendous viewership in the UK, UAE and the USA.

We come from a small state but we have tried our best to make a big mark here. We shall continue to serve the people of Goa and work in the complete interest of the state.
