29 employees of Zee News test positive for COVID-19

Zee News has tweeted that 29 of its employees have tested positive for COVID-19. In a statement issued, Zee Media stated that these “29 Zee Warriors” had displayed great strength of character and dedication to their work amid the COVID-19 crisis.

Zee News further tweeted that it is media industry’s biggest employer with a workforce of around 2,500 and added that the lives of each of its employees is invaluable.

In a statement issued, Zee News Editor-in-Chief Sudhir Chaudhary stated that the organisation had carried out mass testing of its employees after one employee had tested positive. This testing detected 28 more positive cases in the organisation, who were asymptomatic.
