50% of India's pay TV base watched Vivo IPL 2016 in 5th week

Sony Max, Sony Six and Sony ESPN (part of Sony Pictures Networks India), the official broadcasters of Vivo IPL have created newer benchmarks reinforcing India’s affair with the country’s biggest sports tournament.

The sporting event at a cumulative reach of 335 million has now been seen by more than 50 per cent of India’s pay TV households. With this, Vivo IPL 2016’s reach grew 54 per cent over its opening week reach.

Any single prime time game in Vivo IPL has been seen by an average 84.4 million viewers, which is higher than India’s biggest television market – Uttar Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Sony Max continues to rule the roost in the fifth week of IPL as the No. 1 TV channel at both All India and Hindi Speaking Market level.
