93.5 RED FM launches RED LIVE!

Radio network 93.5 Red FM will offer its audience with Live Super Hit music experience, by launching its new event IPR called ‘Red Live’. Red FM will host Live Concerts and Music gigs across the country under the ‘Red Live’ umbrella name.

Commenting on the initiative, Nisha Narayanan, Senior VP - Projects & Programming, 93.5 RED FM said, “Over the last decade we have always given our listeners the best super-hits through the day on our stations across the network. We have been contemplating to extend the same on-ground through a live concert format for a while now. With Red Live, we plan to take the live concert formats across most of the cities where we have stations. We not only intend to give our listeners a great experience but also give our advertisers a great platform to get their brand to engage with the music loving young TG. Red Live will also serve as a great platform for contemporary artists to showcase their talent and further extend their existing fan base. We kick-start the same with Yo Yo Honey Singh as the first artist. Honey Singh as a performer is a live-wire on stage and most of our recent DMT research have rated his songs as the most popular. Infact, in the last DMT out of the 8 most popular songs in Delhi, 6 were his songs. We are looking forward to jam-packed event.”

Speaking about the first Live concert, Rajat Uppal, General Manager - Marketing, 93.5 RED FM said, “We are excited about Red Live’s first gig. The concert will be held in Delhi NCR on 13th October at HUDA Gymkhana Club in Gurgaon. We are organizing the biggest concert Punjabi Rap & Bhangra sensation, Yo Yo Honey Singh has ever done in India. Honey Singh mixes traditional instruments and hip-hop rhythms with great élan & his compositions have been a huge success with the Indian youth. The initial response has been great from both the consumers & the advertiser and we hope to have a packed venue. In the future, we plan to host similar artists with huge mass appeal in other cities too.”

Yo Yo Honey Singh is also known as Eminem of the East. He has revived the Indipop scene by delivering Bhangra and Hip-Hop chartbusters such as ‘Angrezi Beat’, ‘Dope Shope’, ‘Main Sharabi’, ‘Brown Rang’ and ‘Haye Mera Dil’ among many others. His track ‘Gabru’ from International Villager featuring singer J-Star has topped Asian music charts (including world iTunes and the official BBC Asian charts).
