A new chapter unfolds on Zindagi with two new shows

Launched recently, Zindagi has already created a new category amongst GEC’s for premium viewers with a promise to break the stereotypes on Indian Television. With shows having ended on the channel in less than two months since its launch and after the huge success of shows like ZindagiGulzarHai, Aunn Zara, Maat, Mere Qatil Mere Dildaar and KahiUnkahi,the audience is left thinking what’s next on Zindagi!This fall season, Zindagi will present two new shows to the splendid spectrum of stories it has already brought to Indian audiences from across the border. The channel that thrives on quality content will premiere– Thakkan&IshqGumshuda on 31st August & 5th September respectively.

Viewers are in for a real treat with the addition of these soulful tales of love and friendship accompanied with a dash of the harsh realities of life, to the existing line-up.  Thakan traces the journey of a young girl Sadaf, who while battling with harsh realities of life,might fall and suffer butshe will never give upand displays perseverance and patience in dealing with all that surrounds her.Viewers will now watch the gorgeous Saba Qamar, last seen on the hit show Maat, in a completely new avatar as a plain janeSadafin this new show. Launching on 31stAugust, the show will replaceMere Qatil Mere Dildaarat the8:55 PM slot.

Meet Sadaf (played by Saba Qamar) who is burdened by family responsibilities but she never gives up no matter how tiring it is. She is hard-working and is dedicated towards her family but at the same time refuses to be treated like a doormat. A strong and independent woman, her life goes through many ups and downs and she deals with all the challenges that life brings her way. Like any other girl she too has feelings, emotions and dreams of her own which she puts on a backburner for her family’s sake.

With the show KahiUnkahi coming to an end on September 4th,IshqGumshuda isanother fresh story that revolves around the interplay of love and friendship. Itwill premiere on Zindagi on 5th September at 8:00 PM. With IshqGumshuda, Zindagi presents another talented actress SarwatGilani for the first time on Indian television alongside Aamina Sheikh (last seen on Maat). IshqGumshuda is a story of three friends – Alizeh, Ali &Neha and depicts the twists & turns that life throws at them. It’s a story of love in all its hues, a journey of loss & gain and the impact of love on the lives & friendship of these three close friends. The show will also see HumayunSaeed playing the male protagonist Ali.

Smart, spirited and a pampered modern girl, Alizeh(played by SarwatGilani) is short tempered & gets into a tiff easily. She is hyperactive with a kind heart, an optimist & believer in living life to the fullest. She believes in friendship more than anything in life. Ali(played by HumayunSaeed) is a simple, kind hearted, decent guy who does not ask for much from life. Ali is not very good at showing his emotions but smart enough to portray them when needed. He is a believer and a lover of life.  Always caught up with the constant fights between her two best friends, Neha (played by Aamina Sheikh) is the one who always mediates to resolve the fights. Neha believes that Ali and Alizeh are made for each other.

Staying true to the channel’s proposition ‘JodeyDilonKo’,Zindagi continues to present to its viewers beautiful stories from across the border stating that culturally the two countries may be different,  but stories  of  our lives are similar.
