Ab Inbev India introduces two flavourful wheat beers from Seven Rivers

AB InBev India todayannounced the launch of two flavourful wheat beers from its homegrown craft brand Seven Rivers that complements the Indian palate. Brewed for a flavourful India, Seven Rivers is now available in two avatars – Seven Rivers ‘strong’ and Seven Rivers ‘mild.’ Consumers can buy the Strong variant at their nearest retail store in Karnataka for INR 130 & INR 175 and Maharashtra for INR 165 & INR 210 for 500ml can and 650ml bottle, respectively. These new brews reiterate AB InBev India’s commitment to offering Indian consumers experiences unique to the history and diverse heritage of the land of Seven Rivers - India.

Commenting on introducing the new brews, Vineet Sharma, Vice President Marketing - South Asia, AB InBev, said, “We are thrilled to introduce exciting new brews specially curated for the Indian consumers from the house of Seven Rivers that pay homage to India’s variety of flavours. The trend towards artisanal flavoured craft beers continues to grow, thanks to the evolving palete of Indian consumers. We remain strongly committed to elevating consumer experiences and further shaping the craft beer category with high-quality, differentiated offerings like the launch of the Seven Rivers Brewpub in Bangalore, in partnership with IHCL (Taj Hotels), and now scaling our offering to a larger audience with the launch of cans & bottles.”

The packaged beers coming from the house of Seven Rivers will always represent local flavours – Be it the zestiness of the orange in the Witbier or the spiciness of clove in the Hefeweizen. Seven Rivers ‘strong’ is a smooth Hefeweizen that comes in a 650ml bottle and 500ml can. Made with malted wheat, it is an exceptionally smooth and sessionable brew, with notes of banana and clove lending it a delectable flavour that is fruity and spicy at the same time. On the other hand, Seven Rivers ‘mild’ is a light Witbier with a creamy mouthfeel, exuding a delicate balance of spicy and fruity coriander with orange peel notes. Seven Rivers ‘mild’ is a refreshing witbier that comes in a 330ml bottle, 500ml can and 650ml bottle.

The variants are now available in Maharashtra and Karnataka but will expand to more markets shortly. Seven Rivers, made for India in India, is a true representation of all things Indian. With brews that complement the Indian palete and the packaging that depicts the origin story of the ingredient.

While consumers with a palete for strong lagers have largely influenced the beer sector, there has been a gradual shift toward less bitter, flavourful, and smooth beverages over the past few years. The shift is primarily driven by the growing popularity of microbreweries and consumers who are more experimentative and prefer a repertoire of offerings, paving the way for the Indian wheat beer market to carve out a niche for itself.
