Abbott’s New Ensure Film Links Physical Activity and Nutrition to Immunity

The latest digital film and Television Commercial (TVC) featuring Abbott’s Ensure™ in India was unveiled today, seeking to educate and reinforce the science behind strengthening immunity through nutrition and physical activity.

In a time when ensuring good health is of foremost importance for families and communities across every Indian household – understanding how to strengthen the immune system, especially as we age, is more crucial than ever before. The TVC highlights 11 immunity-boosting nutrients including Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Iron, Vitamin D, Copper and Folate. These nutrients are present in Ensure and are critical to rejuvenate new immunity cells, giving individuals the strength to live full lives.

The TVC showcases banter between the lead couple, Gajaraj Rao and Madhoo, on whether walking or yoga is more effective to build immunity. As they discuss various tips, their daughter, a medical practitioner, shares invaluable advice: while physical activity is important to stay healthy, right nutrition plays a significant role as well.

“Today, more than ever, the need to build and maintain immunity and muscle strength as we age is essential to overall health,” said Swati Dalal, general manager, Abbott’s nutrition business in India. “While exercise and increased physical activities have become part of people’s daily regimen, the role of nutrition needs to be reinforced. The new Ensure TVC seeks to educate audiences about right nutrients, along with physical activity, that play a vital role in nurturing a healthy immune system giving them strength to live their life to the maximum.”

The TVC, created by Abbott in partnership with Leo Burnett India – can be seen here and on various media platforms including social, digital media & e-commerce portals. It will run across major Hindi and regional general entertainment channels along with movies and news channels and be promoted across YouTube, Facebook and point of sale outlets.
