Abby 2017: Shortlists announced for Creative, PR, Broadcaster, Publisher

In keeping with its move to set a benchmark in transparency and efficacy of the Abby Awards this year, shortlisted entries across Creative – Ambient Media, Creative – Direct, Creative – Out of Home, Creative – Film Single, Creative – Design, Creative – Radio Craft, Creative – Gender Sensitive, Creative – Brand Activation & Promotion, Creative – Branded Content, Public Relation, Broadcaster and Publisher categories have been announced following the first round of the judging. This shortlists number 1,150 and have been uploaded on the Abby website – www.abbyshortlist.com – and available for review. Abby 2017 has received the highest ever number of creative entries. 

Any further comments about what could be inspired work, etc., could be sent within 5 days of the shortlist appearing, along with supporting documents, to the Advertising Club (adclub@vsnl.com) marked to the Chairman Awards Governing Council. After Audit screening, the feedback received could be put up to the Jury in the second round of judging. 

Abby Awards 2017 will be held at Goafest 2017 on April 6, 7 and 8. The awards will see inspiring campaigns brought alive in the period from January 1, 2016 to January 31, 2017 being celebrated by the entire fraternity. 

Publisher Abbys 

Among the Publisher Abbys shortlists, Dainik Jagran leads with 43 finalists. Dainik Bhaskar has secured 7 finalists, while Hindustan Times is the most shortlisted publisher in the English Print space with 6 shortlists. Also, with multiple entries, the list includes Chitralekha, Malayala Manorama, Navbharat Times, and Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd, among others. 

Broadcaster Abbys 

In Broadcaster Abbys, Life OK has grabbed 11 spots among the shortlisted entries. Also making it to this list are Star Plus, Colors, Comedy Central, AXN, and SAB TV, among others. Hotstar is the only OTT platform to make it to the shortlisted entries with 4 finalists.
