ABBYs 2022 Day 2: Grand Prix for Famous; SPNI adjudged Broadcaster of the Year

Day 2 of Goafest 2022 wound up with the presentation of the Abby Awards 2022 tonight. This year also marks Goafest’s 15th edition. Marking it as a special year, it is the first time ever that the Abby Awards have collaborated with The One Show.

Day 1 saw the presentation of Publisher and Media ABBYs, where a total of 87 Media ABBYs and 15 Publisher ABBYs were awarded.

Day 2 saw ABBY Awards for Broadcaster, Public Relations, Design, Direct, Technology, Digital & Digital Craft, and Mobile being presented.

The day saw only one Grand Prix being awarded – Famous Innovations walked away with the Grand Prix in Direct ABBYs, where the agency won a Gold. Overall, the agency put up a strong show on Day 2, winning multiple metals across categories. In Digital ABBYs, Famous secured 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze. The agency scored 1 Bronze and a Merit in Design ABBYs.

In Broadcaster ABBYs, Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) led the list of winners. With a tally of 2 Gold, 4 Silver and 3 Bronze, SPNI was adjudged Broadcaster of the Year. Broadcaster ABBYs saw 5 Gold being awarded. Apart from the 2 Gold for SPNI, the other Gold awardees included TV18 Broadcast (2 Gold) and Zee Kannada (1 Gold).

In Digital ABBYs, Famous Innovations was the sole Gold winner. Cheil India, which secured 1 Silver and 3 Bronze, was declared Digital Specialist Agency of the Year.

FCB Group India dominated the Public Relations ABBYs, garnering, 4 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze. The agency was adjudged PR Specialist Agency of the Year.

In Mobile ABBYs, 2 Golds were awarded, with FCB Group India and Cheil India winning 1 Gold each. Cheil walked away with the Mobile Specialist Agency of the Year award.

Apart from the Grand Prix in Direct ABBYs to Famous Innovations, FCB Group India was declared Direct Specialist Agency of the Year. The agency’s metals’ tally stood at 12, which included 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 7 Bronze.

In Technology ABBYs, 2 Gold were awarded – one each to Sangbad Pratidin and Cheil India. However, it was Mindshare that walked away with the award for Tech Agency of the Year. The agency’s metals’ tally included 2 Silver and 2 Bronze.

No Gold was awarded in Digital Craft ABBYs. BC Web Wise secured 1 Silver and 2 Bronze. Cheil India won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze.

No Gold was awarded in Design ABBYs as well. TLG India won 1 Silver, while Tribes Communications won 2 Bronze.
