ABP News claims Numero Uno Status during election counting

With the vision to keep #Deshkorakheyaagey, ABP News stood at number one position as the most watched channel on counting days of the recently concluded 5 state elections of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram. The BARC data released yesterday clearly shows that during election counting days ABP news was the preferred channel for election news and analysis on 11th December, registering gross viewership of 85 million and a market share of 21.2%, thrashing its nearest rivals by a close margin. During peak hours of the counting days, ABP News has taken the lead with 25% market share which was 20% ahead of its competitors. ABP’s election coverage was instrumental in setting the context for the discerning viewers through its well-curated content and well-researched programs televised during the election days, offering a visceral news analysis of the entire election.

ABP News was the undisputed leader during the peak hours of the last four counting days vis-à-vis other channels. ABP was a clear leader registering 25% market share in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram & Telangana. In Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Goa & Manipur with the maximum 22% market share on 11th March 2017. Not only this, in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, ABP News has recorded 22% share during peak hour on 18th December 2017 and Tripura, Meghalaya & Nagaland registered 19% market share on 3rd March 2018.
