ABP News Sets the Battle Ground for the Bihar Elections
ABP News organised its flagship conclave ‘Shikhar Sammelan’ in Bihar on Tuesday, to find out how the top players of Bihar politics plan to ace the elections. The programme was focused on the Bihar politics, being a crucial determinant in the national polls of 2019.
Shikhar Sammelan is a unique platform that deliberates on the fundamentally pertinent issues of sheer significance to the common man and provide an opportunity for both ruling government and the opposition to debate on the opportunities, challenges and the way forward for the state.
The day witnessed the presence of eminent political personalities of the state - Shri. Nitish Kumar (Hon. Chief Minister of Bihar), Shri. Sushil Kumar Modi (Hon. Deputy CM of Bihar), Shri. Tejashwi Yadav (Leader – Rashtriya Janta Dal & leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly), Shri. Chirag Pawan (Leader – Lok Janshakti Party), Shri. Shatrughan Sinha (Leader – Bhartiya Janta Party), Shri. Raghuvansh Prasad Singh (Leader – Rashtriya Janta Dal), Shri. Upendra Kushwaha (Leader – Rashtriya Lok Samta Party), Shri. CP Thakur (Leader - BJP), Shri. Manoj Jha (RJD) and Shri. Vinod Narayan Jha (Minister, Govt. of Bihar)
Speaking on the possibility of forming alliance with Janata Dal (United), Shri Tejashwi Yadav, Leader – Rashtriya Janta Dal & leader of opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly said “It was for the first time we trusted Nitish Kumar and he in return cheated us. We will never form an alliance with him again and I can give this in writing. I am sure he will not become the chief minister of Bihar again.”
Hinting at contesting from Varanasi, Shri. Shatrughan Sinha, says ‘he didn’t bag a ministerial berth in the Modi government because of showing allegiance to the Advani camp and kept suspense alive on speculations of contesting Lok Sabha polls from Varanasi.”
Touching upon some social issues, Shri Nitish Kumar said, “Prashant Kishore was included in the JDU on the recommendation of BJP national president Amit Shah. He has told that Amit Shah had told him twice to include Prashant.
