Abraham Thomas quits Red FM; to start own venture

Media sources are abuzz that Abraham Thomas, Red FM's COO, has quit from his position. It was learned that Thomas was serving his notice period after putting in his papers three months ago. There was neither a confirmatory statement from Thomas nor an official declaration issued by Red FM, rumours have it that an internal mail has been sent to the entire team of Red FM informing them about Thomas's leaving the firm.

Though it cannot be confirmed, it is believed that Thomas is working towards initiating his own venture.

Thomas entered the corporate world by taking up a position with The Indian Express where he climbed to the position of All-India Head for ad sales. From print, Thomas ventured into television and joined Sony Entertainment Network taking up the position of Director ' Sales and controlled the brands SET, MAX and AXN. After this he joined MTV Networks and was responsible for revenue generation elements for MTV, Nickelodeon and VH1.

From television, Thomas ventured into the Radio world back in March 2005 when he joined Red FM as COO. He was responsible for driving and channelling the radio channel's programming and marketing in a way that ensured a high listener pleasure aspect while giving the clients maximum mileage by co-creating marketing solutions. Thomas has been instrumental in establishing Red Activ, Red Mobile and Red Creativ. Red Mobile is a unit that generates content on multi-digital platforms while Red Creativ engages in creative solutions for clients.
