Ad Land’s Young Guns: Harry Sehrawat, Co-Founder, Sanfe

Harry Sehrawat co-founded Sanfe in 2018 with a belief to bring a revolutionary change to the notion of female intimate hygiene and to break the taboo attached to it. Sanfe is the brainchild of two IIT Delhi engineering students who ventured into an unchartered territory with no expertise, but a zeal to provide solutions for a lot of underserviced needs for women’s personal wellness and hygiene.

In conversation with Adgully, Harry Sehrawat, Co-Founder, Sanfe, shares his perspective on the skills sets that he brings on the table, his Journey with Sanfe, the inspiration behind the idea of starting up his business venture, and more.

What particular skill sets do you think you bring to the table?

My entrepreneurial and innovative skills have led me to start a career in this field. I also believe problem-solving and strategic thinking have led me far in my career with Sanfe.

How did you start this organisation?

I started this organisation with the purpose of providing ample ready solutions to women who experience intimate hygiene issues. Since women’s intimate health is a vastly taboo topic, it has become even more cumbersome for them to find brands that aid their issues. For this reason, Sanfe was created solely for women in order to uplift and empower them, providing them with a space to raise their voices.

Icons in this field you look up to and how they have influenced you and your work?

Almost all the entrepreneurs and their brands in this space of feminine hygiene influenced me to start my own, making me see the rising urgency of quality solutions for women.  Personally, I look up to Jeff Bezos for his leadership qualities, management skills, and smart decision-making.

What are the five most productive things that you do in your everyday routine?

I enjoy a brisk morning walk as it helps me feel active. Reading the news and being up to date with an informed opinion also increases my productivity. Sticking to a routine and solving a puzzle daily is also part of the list of things I do to stay productive.

Do you think a career in this field is a viable one in the long term?

Yes, I do. The health and wellness industry is something that will never age badly. There is a constant need for developing newer approaches and solutions for various health problems that emerge as time passes. A career in this field is one that can allow you to grow, learn and develop your work ethic and business acumen with ever-changing demands.

What does it take to succeed in a career?

It takes willpower and determination to be able to succeed in a career. Allow yourself room to take risks and fail too. One should never let fear come in the way of accomplishing anything. Instead, learn from your mistakes and grow from there.

What would be your advice to youngsters planning to enter this industry?

My advice would be to hold your head high. It can be a challenging task to start your business in an industry like this, but the outcomes and satisfaction will be more than worth it if you don’t let the tough times pull you down. Believe in yourself and in the power of your work.

Where do you see your organisation in five years’ time?

I hope our organisation still meets its original purpose and more. In five years’ time, we hope to have met the needs of every single woman through an evolution in the space of body grooming. It is our most sincere wish that we observe rising demand with changing times and provide the necessary demand.
