Ad Land’s Young Guns: Vibha Lad, Lead Motion Graphics Artist, Post Office Studios

Vibha Lad is currently working as the Lead second motion designer at Post Office Studios, an award-winning content studio that focuses on producing immersive content & virtual experiences for brands and platforms at scale. She is responsible for coming up with creative and effective concepts and ideas, managing teams, finding creative solutions and helping the client achieve their purpose.

Over the years, Lad has worked with brands like Asian Paints, Cred, Spotify, PhonePe, Hotstar, Tata Motors, Gillette, Eurosport, Red Bull, Facebook, Invideo, etc.

In conversation with Adgully, Vibha Lad, Lead Motion Graphics Artist, Post Office Studios, speaks about her journey with Post Office Studios, icons she look up to, long term career goals, and more.

What particular skill sets do you think you bring to the table?

My creative ideas and managerial skills.

How did you join your current organisation?

I found Post Office Studios on Instagram and fell in love with their work. It took two showreels, many, many interviews, and almost 6 months for me to get hired!

Icons in this field whom you look up to and how they have influenced you and your work?

Kunal Prabhu and Harsh Sharma. They are the senior creative directors at Post Office Studios and have influenced my work the most. They are very inspiring.

There are many other directors, studios and artists whom I really admire and get inspired from, like BUCK, Ordinary Folks, Giant Ant, Wonderlust, Blublu Studios, and Cub Studio are some studios to name a few.

What are the five most productive things that you do in your everyday routine?

  • Make a to-do list before starting my day
  • Track my time
  • Spend some time by myself, away from my phone or any other screen.
  • Regular water intake
  • Step out for a quick walk/ride during sunset.

Do you think a career in this field is a viable one in the long term?

Absolutely yes! I feel this field has endless opportunities which are never going to die. With the growth of technology and innovation, things are just unfolding for everyone... the brands, the artists, the consumers.

What does it take to succeed in a career?

Pure dedication, passion and persistence.

What would be your advice to youngsters planning to enter this industry?

Buckle yourself up. It’s quite an interesting roller coaster.

Where do you see yourself in five years’ time?

I see myself as a renowned Creative Director making a positive impact and spreading happy vibes wherever I go.

Is there any organisation that you would like to work with in the future?

Oh, so many... the list is very similar to the list of studios that inspire me.
