Ad World looses titan, Nandu Narasimhan passes away

Nandu Narasimha, NCD, Solutions Digitas passed away this morning in the early hours, succumbing to a heart attack. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Narasimhan was known in the advertising industry for many significant brands and has worked with various agencies. Having over two decades of experience in this space, he had decided to try a different area of expertise by joining Digitas this year. Digital and integrated marketing were something that Narasimhan was enthusiastic about and had been eager to explore this space.

Tara Sinha Associates saw the beginning of his career twenty one years ago as a copywriter. He had worked with brands like Viva and LML Vespa when he was with Everest Integrated Commuications, Delhi. He had got a wide work experience with agencies like TBWA, Lintas, Contract Advertising and Grey Advertising. He also had worked with Saatchi & Saatchi and then later moved to Vvas Gianetti Creative. In 2008, he was back with Saatchi & Saatchi as creative director.

The advertising fraternity is shocked at the sudden and the untimely demise of Narasimhan. Senior industry people in the likes of Prathap Suthan, Ex NCD of Chiel Worldwide and founder of The Advisory and Ravi Kiran, Ex CEO-South Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group have expressed their remorse and grief on social networking sites. Prathap Suthan said as his status message on Facebook, "One of my best friends, and one the nicest human beings ever, is no more. Nandu Narasimhan is no longer with us."

Adgully offers deepest condolences to Narasimhan's family and friends.
