Adgully caught up with Haritash Tamvada, CEO, Warrantify.com to know more about their initiative and their plans ahead.

Globally, Warrantify has launched its services during the end of 2011. Tamvada says, "So far we were in "beta' state and launched our operations in India and Finland in December 2011."

India is the emerging market. While the market for Consumer Electronics is huge, the internet penetration is low, but is gradually picking up. Commenting on what potential they see in this market, he said, "To begin with, our main focus will be on the internet users who are buying Consumer Electronics. Within this segment also, there are people who are making On-line purchase apart from the conventional off-line stores. Being a Free service and an immense utility, we are really hoping for a high traction with the internet users."

Sharing how has been 2011 and what growth they are looking at in 2012, Tamvada told us that since they have just began their, they are currently in the mode of educating and spreading awareness of their portal. He says, "We are scouting for retail partners for tying up and providing value addition to the consumer. As we go along we are also learning and implementing new modules to the platform that will enhance the consumer delight."

"We just came out of the "beta version' last month. We are constantly trying to upgrade ourselves based on the feedback from our consumers. In fact currently we are incorporating the "Warranty Extension" feature for our customers. The essence is to make the portal highly user friendly and simple. We will always be open for any new collaboration that translates into value addition for our customers," said Tamavada.

Speaking about the key markets where they are operating, Tamvada told us that they have launched their services in India and Finland, which is their Head Office and have a global approach and outlook, but they will phase their journey gradually. Also he told us that beyond these 2 markets they are looking at Us & European markets for their product.

Commenting on how and where digital and social media fits in their scheme functioning, he said, "There is no doubt in the popularity of the digital and social media. It is immensely important to have this in your media mix for the kind of reach & impact one aspires for. This is a potential element that most of the organizations have already invested in. However, the reality being that the internet penetration is at a nascent stage but it is bound to catch up in no time. We are a technology driven company and needless to say we will be investing in the same."

Currently their focus is on popularizing the portal and the company is also focusing on the Consumer Electronic sphere. Tamvada conclusively spoke about their next five year plan. He said, "We are in a highly dynamic environment and will have to aggressively shape ourselves as per the future needs and requirements. Although we see multiple opportunities available to thin out ourselves in to, but, very clearly over the next 2 years we are focused on popularizing the portal and adding essential utilities only in the Consumer Electronic sphere in India, Europe & US market. Post the initial 2 years, we will need to analyze ourselves against the environment and act accordingly."

Warrantify is backed by angel investors of great repute in the Indian Corporate sector & has registered sign ups / users. It also plans to work with retailers directly, who would issue digitised warranties to customers. Warrantify.com is owned by Warrantify Oy, a European start-up and head quartered at Helsinki (Finland), was established with the idea of making things easier related to paper management and creating a paperless environment.
