Adi Godrej to step down from GCPL Board

Adi Godrej, the chairman of the Godrej Group, is stepping down from the board of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) next month.

According to a media report on Wednesday, he will remain Chairman Emeritus of the FMCG business after stepping down from the board with effect from September 30.

Adi Godrej Has served at the helm of several Indian trade and industrial bodies, and associations.

Among others, he is the past chairman of the board of the Indian school of business, and was president of the Confederation of Indian industry.

He has been a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council of the MIT Sloan School of Management, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies and a member of the Wharton Asian Executive Board.

He is also a recipient of several awards and recognisation, including the Rajiv Gandhi Award 2002 and American Indian Foundation (AIF) Leadership in Philanthropic award, 2010.
