adidas unveils the iconic museum of stan

40 years, and still an icon in street fashion. The Stan Smith is back this Spring Summer, making its way from the tennis courts to become the most sought after shoes in the world.

adidas Originals celebrated the return of the legend with a landmark dedicated to the shoe and the man - The Museum of Stan- A giant shoe box featuring the all whites

with the iconic heel tabs. The museum also showcased some fresh twists given to the all-time classic exclusively designed by the city’s prominent designers and artists- Namrata Joshipura, Himanshu Dogra (The Play Can), Ratnesh Rastogi (January Rose) and Bedwin from Japan.

While Namrata’s creation was a colourful play of sequences and flowers, Himanshu crafted a quirky shoe with his own Indian touch. Ratnesh from January.Rose created two classy versions of the Stan – one with a multi-coloured tetris inspired shoe and the other was a skate-board look-alike Stan.

The museum was not just a destination to showcase the shoe and its latest avatars, but to also get Stan Smith fans to join the celebration. They got a taste of some old school tennis action, playing against some legends through a virtual motion sensing game. Fans were also given the opportunity to own a piece of the memorable experience at the “Stan Yourself” photo booth, with an instant caricatured picture, similar to the iconic tongue of the Stan Smith shoes.
