AIGF conducts the India Gaming Conclave 2018

AIGF (All India Gaming Federation), the apex Industry body for skill gaming Industry in India commemorated the second edition of its annual IP event - ‘India Gaming Conclave’ on 29th May 2018 in Delhi. Justice Balbir Singh Chauhan Chairman Law Commission of India, Guest of Honor inaugurated the India Gaming Conclave and was joined by other eminent personalities including Justice R.V.Eswar, Former Judge, Delhi High Court, Ms. Christina Thakor- Rankin, Principal Consultant, 1017 Gaming UK, Ms. Birgitte Sand, Director, Danish Gaming Authority to name a few.

A platform voicing the needs of operators across online poker, fantasy and rummy businesses, 2018 edition of the India Gaming Conclave brought forth the key issues of the gaming industry such as advertising content standards, taxation in regulated markets and Investments in the skill gaming Industry and responsible gaming. Various experts from the respective fields congregated at the conclave to exchange and share opinions.    

The highlight of the event was the introduction to the AIGF advisory panel & the launch of the skill games charters. AIGF six member advisory panel committee includes justice R.V Eswar, Former Judge, Delhi High Court, Anindya Ghose, Heinz Riehl Chair Professor of Business at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Deepak Dhayanithy, Asst. Professor, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode, Professor (Dr.) Yamini Agarwal, Professor of Finance & Dean Research, Director Designate, IIF Business School, Dr Sanju George, Senior consultant in psychiatry, Rajagiri hospital, Aluva, Kerala and Ex DGP, State Of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Vikram Singh.

Inaugurating the India Gaming Conclave 2018, Justice Balbir Singh Chauhan, Chairman Law Commission of India, said, “It is a privilege to address this gathering. The conclave is a brilliant platform to witness effective dialogues between operators and industry stakeholders on the current issues in the gaming industry and to bring together various influencers & law makers to initiate legalization and regulation in Gaming Industry. It is a progressive development in the right direction and can open further avenues for the sector. I hope the conclave paves a path for the significant change in the skill gaming industry.”

Speaking on the 2018 edition of India Gaming Conclave, Roland Landers, CEO AIGF said, “We are delighted to felicitate our eminent advisory panel at the India Gaming Conclave 2018. The recently published FICCI M&E Report 2018, compiled by EY, highlighted that the Indian Skill Gaming Industry had a robust growth of 25% in revenues in 2017 and that standardisation among operators by implementation of best practices will reduce the burden of inspection and reporting.
