Aircel Chennai Open associates with Rado as 'Official Time Keeper'

The organizers of the Aircel Chennai Open today announced that the tournament has extended its association with Swiss watch brand Rado as ‘Official Sponsor’. This will be the third year of the tournament’s association with the leading brand that is associated with a number of prestigious international tennis tournaments in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. At each of these tournaments, corner clocks in the shape of the Rado HyperChrome appear on court.

The 2015 edition of the Aircel Chennai Open will mark twenty years since the very first game of India’s premier and South Asia’s only ATP World Tour event was played and Rado will be the ‘Official Timekeeper’ and get exclusive branding rights to the speed gun. From full match duration, to the breakdown of time per set, Rado systems will help players, fans and officials alike to track the progress of the men's singles and doubles matches at the Aircel Chennai Open.

The 20th edition will charm fans at Chennai’s SDAT Stadium from January 5th to 11th 2015 and present a thrilling lineup of players that includes four top-25 players and three 2014 ATP World Tour Award winners.

Thrilling talent such as World No. 4 and Defending Singles Champion Stan Wawrinka, World No. 14 Feliciano Lopez, World No. 15 Roberto Bautista Agut among others will participate in the event. Other leading players who will add excitement include Belgium’s David Goffin, Spaniards Guillermo Garcia-Lopez and Marcel Granollers, Luxembourg’s Gilles Muller, Chinese Taipei’s Yen-Hsun Lu and 2014 finalist Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

The Twentieth Year celebrations of India’s only ATP World Tour stop include a host of exciting activities sure to thrill tennis fans who are waiting to enjoy scintillating tennis action at Chennai’s SDAT Tennis Stadium. Initiatives include the launch of a special logo created to mark the occasion, a renovated venue, and a host of ongoing activities across India.

The Title Sponsor for the tournament is Aircel and the event is supported by a consortium of sponsors in the Platinum category, headed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
