Aishwarya Rai the brand ambassador of Kalyan Jewellers inaugurates their 36th store in Kochi
Kalyan Jewellers the jewellery retail chain's 36th showroom was inaugurated Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Kerala-based Kalyan Jewellers has said it is planning to start at least 15 more showrooms in the country this fiscal and aiming a turnover of Rs 16,000 crore.The brand had a turnover of Rs 9,473 crore last fiscal.
The showroom has been set up in an area of 20,000 sq feet spread over three floors and offers a variety of jewellery, it said."The largest ever collection of gold-studded designs with silver designs and a collection of gift articles are among those displayed," T S Kalyanaraman, Chairman and Managing Director of Kalyan Jewellers said.
The over 100 year-old Kalyan Jewellers recently signed up two mega Superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as brand ambassadors.The company has 35 branches spread over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Kalyan Jewellers plans to open 15 more showrooms in this financial year. Showrooms in Warangal, Kukkatpally (Hyderabad), Kancheepuram, Kakkinada and Ahamedabad will be opened in the second half of 2012 and would expand to 100 stores spread across India by 2015.
