This song is not a part of the series but was specially composed as a heartfelt dedication to the warriors and was launched at Amritsar’s army cantonment amidst many heroes of the Indian Armed Forces.

‘Mukhbir – The Story of a Spy’ is an inspiring story of India’s secret agent in Pakistan who rose to the occasion to save the nation and turn the tide of the war in his country’s favour. Punctuated by powerful performances of Zain Khan Durrani, Prakash Raj, Adil Hussain, Barkha Bisht, Zoya Afroz, Harsh Chhaya, Satyadeep Mishra and Karan Oberoi, the series is a tribute to those unsung heroes who live in the shadows and give their life for the safety of the country.

Vaibhav Modi, Producer and Writer of Mukhbir said, “I have used music not just to evoke the desired emotion but to achieve the feel of the 60s in Mukhbir. Being a lyricist and musician, I have attempted linguistic and melodic authenticity to create the era. The ghazals reflect the states of mind and conflicts of various key characters while Chhaliya song is the internal journey of the protagonist. Poetically, this album is one of my best works and I am very happy with the way it has been received by the audience. It validates my belief that there is always an audience for good music and poetry, and it transcends the bounds of time and trends”.

Ankit Tiwari, Singer and Composer said, “Watan Ve is ZEE5’s tribute to the Mukhbirs or the spies of India who do such a selfless job of protecting the nation. I feel privileged to be a part of this special tribute and to show my respect to these unsung heroes whose names we may not know but yet, we salute them. This moving, patriotic song is sure to make every Indian feel proud of their roots and watan”.

Abhishek Nailwal, Singer and Composer said, “It was an honor to be a part of Mukhbir’s album because each song is a reminder of the gratitude I feel for the unsung heroes out there who protect us from any danger day and night. Also, the songs are a critical part of this series as it adds another layer of emotion to the story, so I am thankful to Vaibhav Modi for giving me this opportunity and for trusting me with it”.
