Alia Bhatt joins the Nihar family as the brand ambassador

Marico’s Nihar Shanti Amla, India’s No. 1 value added hair oil brand onboards the Bollywood superstar - Alia Bhatt as the face of Nihar Naturals. Focused on giving back to the community, Nihar Shanti Amla has launched a new TVC with the motto – ‘Baal Badhenge, Bachche Padhenge’.

The campaign featuring Alia, seamlessly delivers the brand’s dual message of beautiful hair and its commitment towards girl child education. Nihar Shanti Amla Hair Oil gives hair the goodness it needs to flourish whilst simultaneously enabling the progress of the next generation, as the brand has been and continues to contribute 5% of its profits towards primary education.

The simple, heart-warming and endearing ad features Alia Bhatt in a school, as a co-curricular mentor bonding and helping the children prepare for their annual day. She’s fondly addressed as ‘didi’ by her students, who, mesmerised by her long, thick, black hair, recite short couplets as an ode to her beautiful hair intertwined with references to education. The film continues with Alia emphasizing the brand’s commitment to its purpose. Aptly, the advertising ends with the line “Baal Badhenge, Bacche Padhenge”.

Nihar is known for its strong association with consumers who connect the brand with its purpose and the functionality - Kaale, Ghane, Lambe Baal. The aim of the TVC is to maintain the essence of the brand without reinventing our identity but further strengthening the recall.
