Amazon unveils updated Prime video user interface

Beginning this week, Amazon Prime Video will roll out a new, updated user interface for the app on connected living room devices, the Android and Fire TV. This summer, the new look will be accessible to all Prime Video subscribers globally, with Web and iOS to follow.
Users will be able to search for TV series, sports, movies and premium channels more quickly and conveniently thanks to the revamped main navigation menu. The new navigation menu has been moved to the side of the screen for living room apps to facilitate easier access. There will be six main pages on the app when it first launches: Store, Find, Home, Live TV, Free with Ads, and My Stuff. Additionally, users will have sub-navigation options to enable easier browsing by offer or content type, such as TV series, sports, and movies on the home page, and Rent or Buy or Channels on the Store page.
With the introduction of NFL Thursday Night Football this fall, Amazon is making it simpler for the average consumer to discover the game. A sports sub-navigation menu will be available on Amazon Home devices. Additionally, the new Live TV website serves as a central location for streaming channels, including those for events and live sports. In order to make it simple for customers to observe everything that is presently airing and learn when upcoming programming will start. The content is provided in a user-friendly programme guide.
With specific carousels to highlight the leagues and teams that each viewer is interested in, the sports menu offers a cinematic experience. The portal will also include sports documentaries and other material, such as popular sports videos and replays, to keep one interested in their favoured teams.
In addition to Thursday Night Football, Prime subscribers get access to live sports through Paramount+ or MLB.TV memberships.
New carousels are included in the redesigned Prime Video app, which not only present films with more dramatic and richer graphics but also make it easier for users to select content to stream. For instance, the Top 10 Chart highlights the most well-liked and trending material on Prime Video. With its larger, poster-style artwork, the Super Carousel makes it possible for featured titles, such Amazon Originals and Exclusives and Prime Video Cinema, to stand out among all other titles.
The new design features of the app make it simpler for users to distinguish between content that is included as part of their Prime membership and content that must be purchased. It utilises new visual signals to clearly show which videos are included for the user (symbolized by a blue checkmark icon) and which are available to buy, rent or subscribe to (marked with a shopping bag icon).
You may access all of the videos that are a part of your Prime subscription with just one click by going to the “My Subscriptions” row at the top of the Home page.
