Amit Adarkar gets additional charge of Operations Director for Ipsos APAC

Ipsos India has announced that Amit Adarkar, Ipsos India CEO has taken up the additional charge of Operations Director, Ipsos Asia Pacific, with immediate effect.

Ergo, Adarkar now dons two hats – of CEO, Ipsos India and Operations Director for APAC region; and has a dual reporting – to Christophe Cambournac, CEO of Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) - which continues; and additionally, to Hamish Munro, Ipsos global CEO Operations and Ipsos Interactive Services (IIS), encompassing offline and online operations (for Asia Pacific Region). Clearly, apart from Ipsos India CEO role, all operations heads in the Asia Pacific region and the IIS team based in Malaysia, will now be reporting to Adarkar (IIS is certified for the ISO 9001, ISO/ IEC 27001 and ISO 20252 standards and is member of ESOMAR, AIMRI, CASRO, ARF and EFAMRO).

This development is significant – Ipsos India has grown by 50 per cent since 2014, after Adarkar donned the mantle as Ipsos India CEO, elevating Ipsos to third position in market research, in India; the additional portfolio of Operations is highly strategic as for a game changing growth trajectory, data collection needs to keep pace, riding on technology and quality and Adarkar will be overseeing standardization across the APAC markets: “Clients have contracted timelines and their needs are multifarious – there is a need for automation and efficiencies in online, offline and mobile operations. My remit is to standardize and transform Operations across APAC for Ipsos,” says Amit Adarkar, CEO Ipsos India & Operation Director, APAC, Ipsos.

“Implementation of global protocols and standards; developing robust multi-country pricing tools in collaboration with Finance; rationalizing third party offline vendors; driving online vendor strategy and team building capabilities are some of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on the agenda, for compliance, “added Adarkar.

An alumnus of XLRI, Jamshedpur and IIT Mumbai, Adarkar has over two decades of work experience spanning MNCs and Indian market research companies.
