Amit Khare, man behind fodder scam exposé, is new MIB Secretary

Close on the heels of Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore taking charge at the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting from Smriti Irani, following a mini-Cabinet reshuffle, the Ministry has got on board a new Secretary. Amit Khare, an Indian Administrative Officer of the 1985 batch of the Bihar Cadre, has been appointed as the new MIB Secretary.

Khare will take on his new post after the superannuation of current MIB Secretary NK Sinha on May 31, 2018.

Senior bureaucrat Khare, who is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary of Jharkhand, was the man who first brought to light the multi-crore rupee fodder scam in Bihar.
