Amit Kumar joins as South Director of Sales at Dailyhunt and Josh’s parent VerSe Innovation

Amit brings in a wealth of business, strategy and sales experience and draws his foray into developing strategies and building a business from the core. A dynamic business development professional, Amit has extensively worked in the area of ad sales, brand marketing, business development, strategy development, and advertising with the leading names in the eCommerce industry. Most recently, he has served as the National Head at OneIndia group.

Amit brings with him 15+ years of experience in business development, digital adsales, programmatic sales, content sales  and monetization. Content and Programmatic selling being his biggest strength, Amit believes that vernacular content is the key to growth and multiplication today. In his prior role with Oneindia, he had been a shining performer by growing OneIndia at 2x speed year on year and onboarding clients from various parts of the country. One of the biggest highlights of his stint at OneIndia was customer retention, increasing the revenue of the organization by 2X year on year with zero market debt. A person of compassion and empathy Amit has always donned many hats to push the envelope, from being deeply involved with journalists of all languages to strategizing the content to promotion. 

Under Amit’s leadership in the last 6 months at VerSe, the team size has grown considerably with appointments across business development, strategy and more. He is building a team with leadership thought that believes that vernacular content has the compression to change the way people think.
