Amrapali and Manish Arora after their successful first collaboration have yet again crafted a vision for the future of contemporary jewellery. The collection was unveiled at the Paris Fashion week just yesterday, bedazzling the prestigious international gathering of Hollywood celebrities, bastions of the fashion fraternity and other glamorous patrons. Amrapali jewels is the only Indian jewelry to have exhibited their collection at the exalted Paris Fashion Week.

The Autumn/Winter ’13 collection captures an essence of Amrapali’s signature style- bold & detailed and Manish’s flamboyant designs. A Rajasthani twist on Manish’s experience by his last visit to Burning Man in Nevada, explores a unique fusion of heritage of Indian craftsmanship and conceptual design.

Bold, dramatic and powerful this collection pushes the boundaries of contemporary design and is specifically designed to wear in an international cosmopolitan context.  The jewellery collection represents Manish’s take on modern India & how he wants to represent his vision on a global platform, collaborating with Amrapali, a brand that looks to the Sub- continent’s rich heritage as inspiration for modern & relevant jewellery.

Geometric motifs and borders are created translating the psychedelic mirage forms from Burning Man with lustrous holographic stones, matt gold, lacquer coating and beads.  The colour palette comprises of shades of blue from the sky with a wide use of black, navy blue and green as the base along with the stimulants of metallic gold.

Traditional ring designs have been enhanced and gracefully illuminated by addition of bold coloured stones, cuffs & necklaces that have detailed application of enamel in vibrant coloured geometric designs and an element of play with turban jewels, nose rings & Hasli’s (traditional necklace of Rajasthan) add to the opulence.
