Ananya Panday: Quirky, cute GenZ’er attracting fans & brands

Youth Icon and fashionista Ananya Panday may be just three films old, but she is already quite popular on social media. Ananya had her big debut in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ in 2019. Soon after her debut movie, she was seen in ‘Pati Patni aur Voh’ in the same year. This year Ananya made her OTT debut, with her film alongside Ishan Khatter, ‘Khali Peeli’ releasing on ZEE5. She is now all set to make her Tollywood debut soon alongside Vijay Deverakonda.

Along with movies, this former 'Teen Sensation' also launched the ‘So Positive’ initiative in 2019 to create awareness about social media bullying. Her efforts were recognised as ‘Initiative of the year’ at the 2019 Economic Times Awards. This young actress turned 22 on October 30, 2020. We wish her a very Happy Birthday.

Ananya’s Cadbury’s Perk ad, in which she appeared alongside filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, became a meme. In the ad, Ananya is seen saying, “Sorry, I am not available”, to Kashyap when he asks her to report for shoot in the morning.

According to Duff & Phelps’ ‘Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2019’ report, “This new student in B-Town has captured the attention of not only Indian audiences, but also some well-known product brands. With brands like Lakmé, Gillette and Cadbury in her kitty, she is likely to excel with good grades.”

European denim brand ‘Only’ signed her as brand ambassador to be the face of Only’s new spring summer 2019 collection, thereafter she was named as ‘Only girl Ananya Panday’. Her recent brand endorsement is with hairstyling product brand Vega.
